About Us

Cat and Dog Welcoming You!Animal Hospital Highway 6 has been caring for pets in Fort Bend County since 1981 as a full-service small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.

We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house digital x-ray capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area.

We are proud to be among the 15% of accredited hospitals in the American Animal Hospital Association. Unlike human hospitals, there is no mandatory accreditation process that establishes standards of care for the veterinary industry. We choose to be evaluated on over 900 standards covering how we practice medicine, our facility, operations and management. We hold ourselves to the highest standard because you and your pets deserve nothing less.

Boarding

We board pets as a service to our clients on a reservation basis.  We require all pets to be current on recommended immunizations and to be free of parasites.  One of the benefits of boarding at our hospital is that you can be sure one of our doctors will be available in case of an emergency.  We are able to give all prescribed medications as needed or directed during your pet's stay with us.

All dogs will be bathed on the day they are scheduled to go home.  For reasons of sanitation, personal belongings should not be left with your pet.  Our kennel area is climate controlled year-round and we have a fenced-in exercise area to keep your pet safe while they are being walked.  To keep your cats comfortable during their stay with us, we offer a separate boarding area that is quiet and away from the dogs.

At Animal Hospital Highway 6 we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.
