Unlike human hospitals, animal hospitals are not required to be accredited. The American Animal Hospital Association evaluates hospitals on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence in order to become accredited. AAHA Accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. In fact, only about 3,500 (12-15%) animal hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited. Animal Hospital Highway 6 is proud to have maintained this standard of excellence since 1981.
